AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
ADDING A NEW SECTION 5.80.100 TO THE EDMONDS CITY
CODE ESTABLISHING REGULATIONS FOR THE PUBLIC
FISHING PIER AT THE EDMONDS BOAT HARBOR ADJACENT
TO DAYTON BEACH PARK.
WHEREAS, the following regulations are necessary
for the preservation of the public health, safety and general
welfare, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. A new Section 5.80.100 is hereby added
to the Edmonds City Code to read as follows:
"5.80.100. Fishing Pier Regulations. It shall be
unlawful for any person to violate any of the
following regulations on the Edmonds Public
Fishing Pier at the Edmonds Boat Harbor adjacent
to Dayton Beach Park.
1. No person shall permit any animal to enter or
remain on the fishing pier; provided, however,
that this section shall not apply to seeing -eye
dogs that are being used by blind persons for the
purpose of aiding them going from place to place.
2. No person shall use or operate any wheeled
vehicle upon the fishing pier, including but not
limited to any motor vehicle, bicycle, roller
skates or skateboard; provided, however, this
section shall not apply to authorized police, fire
and public works vehicles, wheel chairs being used
by handicapped persons and carriages for infants."
Section 2. The Parks and Recreation Director is
hereby authorized and directed to post signs informing the
public of the restrictions imposed by this Ordinance.
Section 3. Any person violating any of the terms

of Section 1 of this Ordinance shall be guilty of a misde-
meanor, and upon conviction thereof, be punished as set
forth in Section 5.45.020 of the Edmonds City Code as now or
may hereafter be modified or recodified.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect five (5) days after passage and publication by
posting as provided by law.
