AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
AMENDING SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE NO. 857 TO
PROVIDE THAT AMENDMENTS TO THE EDMONDS CITY CODE
MAY SET FORTH IN FULL SUBSECTIONS AS WELL AS
WHOLE SECTIONS OF SAID CODE.
WHEREAS, due to the length of some sections of the
Edmonds City Code it is unduly burdensome and expensive in
publication of amendments to a subsection of said Code to
recite the whole section in full including all of its sub-
sections, and,
WHEREAS, provision is made in RCW 35A.21.130 for
Optional Municipal Code cities, and RCW 35.21.560 for
amendment of subsections without reciting a full section of
a codification, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 3 of Ordinance No. 857 be and the same hereby
is amended to read as follows:
"Section 3. Adoption of new material. New
material shall be adopted by the City Council as
separate ordinances prior to the inclusion thereof
in such codification: Provided, that any ordinance
amending the codification shall set forth in full
the section or sections, or subsection or sub-
sections of the codification being amended, as the
case may be, and this shall constitute a sufficient
compliance with any statutory requirement that no
ordinance or any section thereof shall be revised or
amended unless the new ordinance sets forth the
revised ordinance or amended section in full."
