AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
AMENDING SECTION 7.01.020 OF THE EDMONDS CITY
CODE BY SUPPLEMENTING THE PREVIOUSLY ADOPTED
DESIGN STANDARDS FOR MAJOR AND SECONDARY CITY
STREETS BY THE ADDITION THERETO OF RESIDENTIAL
ACCESS STREETS PURSUANT TO PLANNING COMMISSION
RESOLUTION NO. 351 AS MODIFIED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds,
Washington pursuant to Planning Commission Resolution No.
351 called a public hearing and having determined it to
be in the best interest and the public health, safety and
welfare to amend the design standards for street construction
as set forth below, in modification of that recommended by
Planning Commission Resolution No. 351, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 7.01.020 of the Edmonds City Code is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"Section 7.01.020 Design standards adopted.
(a) That certain printed compilation, three copies
of which have been and are now on file in the office
of the City Clerk, for use and examination of the
public, designated as the Design Standards for
Major and Secondary City Streets in the state of
Washington prepared by state of Washington Design
Standard Committee be and the same hereby are
adopted by reference, and said standards shall be
followed in new construction and as far as practical
and feasible in the reconstruction of existing
applicable facilities.
(b) Said Design Standards for Major and Secondary
City Streets are hereby supplemented by Design
Standards for residential access streets in the City
of Edmonds as set forth in Design "A" and Design
"B10 attached to Planning Commission Resolution No.
351 and contained in Planning Commission File
No. ST-2-71, as modified by revision dated 5-18-71
and as appears in said File No. ST-2-71.
