AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTIONS 11.03.010 AND 11.03.020 OF THE
EDMONDS CITY CODE TO ADOPT THE 1976 EDITION OF
THE UNIFORM HOUSING CODE.
WHEREAS, the following amendment is in the best in-
terest of the public health, safety and general welfare, now,
therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 11.03.010 of the Edmonds City Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"11.03.010 HOUSING CODE ADOPTED BY REFERENCE.
That certain printed code, three copies of which have been on
file in the office of the City Clerk for use and examination by
the public, being marked, printed and designated as the Uniform
Housing Code, 1976 Edition, copyrighted in 1976 by the Interna-
tional Conference of Building Officials, is adopted as the housing
code for the City of Edmonds and by this reference is incorporated
herein as if fully set forth within this Chapter, subject to such
modifications and amendments as may hereafter be provided."
Section 2. Section 11.03.020 of the Edmonds City Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"11.03.020 PENALTIES.
Any person, firm or corporation or other organization violating
any of the provisions of this Chapter shall be guilty of a mis-
demeanor and upon conviction thereof be punished as set forth in
Section 5.45.020 of the Edmonds City Code."

Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect five (5) days after passage and publication by posting as
provided by law.
