AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTIONS 11.05.010 AND 11.05.020 OF THE
EDMONDS CITY CODE TO ADOPT THE UNIFORM CODE FOR
THE ABATEMENT OF DANGEROUS BUILDINGS AND PROVIDING
PENALTIES.
WHEREAS, the following amendments are in the best
interest of the public health, safety and general welfare, now,
therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 11.05.010 of the Edmonds City Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"11.05.010 DANGEROUS BUILDING CODE ADOPTED.
That certain printed code, three copies of which have been on
file in the office of the City Clerk for use and examination by
the public, being marked, printed and designated as the Uniform
Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, 1976 Edition, copy-
righted in 1976 by the International Conference of Building
Officials, is hereby adopted as the Uniform Code for the repair,
vacation and demolition of dangerous buildings for the City of
Edmonds and by this reference is incorporated herein as if set
forth in full, subject to such modifications and amendments as
may hereafter be provided."
Section 2. Section 11.05.020 of the Edmonds City Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"11.05.020 PENALTIES.
Any person, firm or corporation or other organization violating
any of the provisions of this Chapter shall be guilty of a mis-
demeanor, and upon conviction thereof be punished as set forth in
Section 5.45.020 of the Edmonds City Code."

Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect five (5) days after passage and publication by posting as
provided by law.
