ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTION 10.05.030 OFFICERS OF BOARD -
MEETINGS - QUORUM TO CHANGE THE MEETING TIME OF
THE EDMONDS ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN BOARD AND FIX-
ING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, the Architectural Design Board has indicted
its preference for a 7:00 p.m. meeting time, and
WHEREAS, the current City ordinance provides for a 7:30
p.m. meeting time, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 10.05.030 OFFICERS OF BOARD -
MEETINGS - QUORUM of the Edmonds City Code is hereby amended to
read as follows:
10.050.030 OFFICERS OF BOARD - MEETINGS - QUORUM
Members of the board shall meet and organize by
electing from the members of the board, a chairman and
a vice-chairman, and such other officers as may be
determined by the board. It shall be the duty of the
chairman to preside at all meetings. The vice-chairman
shall perform this duty in the absence of the chairman.
A majority of the board shall constitute a quorum for
the transaction of business. A majority of a quorum
may transact any particular business of the board. The
regular public meeting of the board shall be held on
the first Wednesday of each respective month commencing
at 7:00 p.m. at the Edmonds Civic Center; provided,
however, that regular meetings may be held at such time
or place as may be designated by the chairman or the
majority of the members of the board.
Section 2. This ordinance, being an exercise of a
power specifically delegated to the City legislative body, is not
subject to referendum, and shall take effect five (5) days after
passage and publication as provided by law. The City Clerk is
authorized and instructed to publish this ordinance or a summary
thereof consisting of its title.
