AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTONQ
AMENDING SECTION 10.10.030 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1568
TO EXEMPT SINGLE FAMILY DWELLINGS FROM THE
REQUIREMENTS OF INSTALLATION OF FIRE HYDRANTS
AND MAINS AS REQUIRED BY CHAPTER 10.10 OF THE
EDMONDS CITY CODE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 10.10.030 of the Edmonds City Code, adopted
by Ordinance No. 1568 is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 10.10.030 Building permits and plats.
Fire hydrants, water mains and appurtenances shall
be installed as required by this Chapter as a condition
of approval of plats, short plats and subdivisions,
unless conditions of undue hardship warrant a waiver
by the Fire Chief and City Engineer of this provision.
No building permits shall be issued for erection of
any building or structure until adequate provision
is made to assure that the provisions of this Chapter
will be met including financial responsibility,
Provided, this Section shall not apply to new con-
struction, reconstruction, repair, rebuilding or
remodeling of a single family dwelling.
