AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTION 1.04.010 OF THE EDMONDS CITY
CODE SETTING FORTH THE REGULAR MEETING TIME AND
DATES OF THE CITY COUNCIL AND ESTABLISHING AN
8:00 PM STARTING TIME FOR CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 1.04.010 of the Edmonds City Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
111.04.010 Regular Public Meeting Time and Days. Regular
meetings of the City council shall be held on each Tuesday of
every month throughout the year in the Edmonds Civic Center
at 8:00 PM, provided, however, on the second Tuesday of every
month and on the fifth Tuesday of those months containing five
Tuesdays, throughout the year, the City Council shall not hold
any public hearings for which notice is required to be given
by state law or ordinance of the City. Provided, further, in
the event state law requires adoption of an ordinance or other
action on other than a Tuesday, such as budget hearings, said
dates are hereby declared to be additional regular meeting
dates upon which dates the action, ordinance, resolution or
hearing may be taken and/or adopted."
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect five (5) days after passage and publication by posting
as provided by law.
