AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS CREATING
A NEW SECTION 1. 31.035 IN THE EDMONDS CITY CODE
AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER
TO ADMINISTER THE FUNCTIONS OF CITY COUNCIL
COMMITTEES.
WHEREAS, procedurally miscellaneous ordinances of the City
of Edmonds refer to various committees of the City Council which do
not functionally meet on a regular basis, and
WHEREAS, the administrative responsibility is primarily vested
in the office of the Mayor and the Chief Administrative Officer with final
policy making residing in the City Council, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. 31. 035 Administrative functions in behalf of Ci
Council. Where reference in made in existing City ordinances and the
Edmonds City Code to various committees of the City Council for review
and recommendation to the City Council, such as reviewing license
applications, the Chief Administrative Officer shall act in behalf of the
referred to committee of the City Council by undertaking the administrative
responsibilities, or delegating them to the appropriate city department, for
report and recommendation to the City Council as a whole.
