ORDINANCE NO. 2120
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE OFFICIAL POLICY PLAN MAP, AS ADOPTED
BY REFERENCE IN SECTION 12.04.030 OF THE EDMONDS
CITY CODE TO DESIGNATE ON SAID MAP CERTAIN PRO-
PERTY DESCRIBED HEREIN AS "URBAN", PURSUANT TO
PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 645
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public
hearing on designating the property described herein as "Urban"
on the City's Official Policy Plan Map, and has forwarded its
recommendations to the City Council in Planning Commission Reso-
lution No. 645 , and
WHEREAS, notice of the Planning Commission hearing was
given by one publication in the Enterprise, a newspaper of general
circulation delivered in the City and in the Western Sun Edition
of the Everett Herald, the official newspaper of the City at
least 10 days prior to the hearing, and
WHEREAS, with 60 days of its receipt of the Planning
Commission recommendation the City Council of the City of Edmonds
has held a public hearing and at the conclusion of said hearing
has found as follows:
1. The property is currently being utilized as a
public beach with a small portion used as an oil pipeline easement.
2. The City's Shorelines Management Master Program
designates the property as "Urban".
3. The "Urban" designation as set forth in the City's
Shorelines Management Master Program is consistent with the

current and contemplated uses of the property and the long range
goals and policies as set forth in the City of Edmonds Policy
Plan, and
WHEREAS, the environmental designations contained in
the City of Edmonds Shorelines Management Master Program are
adopted as elements of the City's Comprehensive Policy Plan and
incorporated by reference therein, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the findings of the City's
Responsible Official, the City Council finds that there will be
no significant adverse environmental impacts as a result of this
proposal, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Official Policy Plan Map of the City of
Edmonds Comprehensive Policy Plan, adopted by reference by Section
12.04.030 of the Edmonds City Code is hereby amended to designate
on said map the following described property as "Urban" as set
forth in the City of Edmonds Comprehensive Policy Plan. The
legal description of the above referenced property is set forth
on Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein by this
reference as if set forth in full.
Section 2. The Director of Community Development is
hereby authorized and directed to make the necessary changes to
the Official Policy Plan Map as set forth in this Ordinance.

Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect five (5) days after passage and publication by posting as
provided by law.
