Ordinance 25530006.03006 WSS/naa 03/12/86 ORDINANCE NO. 2553 FOLLOWS: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE GRADES OF CERTAIN POSITIONS WITHIN THE CITY, REPEALING ANY INCONSISTENT PROVISION OF ANY ORDINANCE, PROVIDING FOR THE SALARIES OF INCUMBENTS IN AFFECTED POSITIONS AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE THE CITY COUNCIL OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS Section 1. The following positions' pay ranges and salary grades are hereby amended as follows: A. Parks and Recreation Manager - Exempt 8; B. Building and Grounds Supervisor - Exempt 6; C. Street Supervisor - Exempt 6; D. Water/Sewer Supervisor - Exempt 6; E. Equipment Rental Supervisor - Exempt 4; F. Engineering Coordinator - Exempt 5; Section 2. Any inconsistent provision of any ordinance is hereby repealed. Section 3. In the event, at the date of passage of this ordinance, the incumbent in any position listed in Section 1 is earning a salary in excess of the range herein established, the affected incumbent's salary shall be fixed at the level in effect on the date of passage of this ordinance. Said salary shall remain fixed at that level until such time as the top end of the salary range for the affected position shall be increased above the incumbent's fixed salary by future action of the Council. When the affected incumbent's salary falls within the newly established range, he/she shall thereafter be reviewed in the same manner as other similarly situated employees of the City. Section 4. This ordinance, being an administrative action, is not subject to referendum and shall take effect five (5) days after its publication, or publication of a summary thereof consisting of its title, in the City's official newspaper.
