ORDINANCE NO. 2588
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING ECC 15.00.020, SUBSECTION (C), BY THE
ADDITION OF A NEW SUBPARAGRAPH (10) TO RETAIN
THE FEES SET BY THE 1982 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM
BUILDING CODE, DIRECTING THE BUILDING OFFICIAL
TO RETAIN AND PUBLISH SUCH SCHEDULE AND FIXING
A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. ECDC 15.00.020 relating to application
fees, subsection (C) relating to the Building Department, is
hereby amended by the addition of a new subparagraph (10),
relating to building permit fees to read as follows:
10. Building Permit Fees: Section 304 of the Uniform
Building Code of 1985 as adopted by ECDC 19.00.000 and
the fees established by said section 304 and by Table
3-A thereof, are hereby amended by the substitution of
section 304 and Table 3-A of the Uniform Building Code
of 1982. The building official is hereby directed and
authorized to continue utilization of the fees
established by the Uniform Building Code of 1982 until
such time as this provision shall be amended.
Section 2. Building Official is directed to retain a
copy of the 1982 Uniform Building Code and to establish a
schedule for fees reflecting said tables, to file a copy of said
fee schedule with the City Clerk and to provide copies to any
applicant for building permit.
Section 3. The City Council finds that this ordinance
as an amendment of Table 3-A of the Uniform Building Code, 1985
edition, is not subject to the review of the State Building Code
Council.
Section 4. This ordinance, being an exercise of a
power specifically delegated to the City legislative body, is not
subject to referendum, and shall take effect five (5) days after
passage and publication of the attached, approved summary.
