ORDINANCE NO. 2589
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTION 15.00.020 RELATING TO
APPLICATION FEES BY ADDING A NEW SUBPARAGRAPH D
ESTABLISHING A TEN DOLLAR APPLICATION FEE FOR
OPEN BURNING PERMITS AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE
SAME SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds may establish certain fees
for the issuance of permits under the Uniform Fire code, and
WHEREAS, the Fire Marshal is required under the
provisions of the Uniform Fire Code, the Uniform Building Code
and other provisions of City Code to perform inspections and to
issue permits for open burning, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it to be in the public
interest to establish a ten dollar ($10.00) annual fee so that
applicants may bear the cost associated with their applications
and inspections, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. ECDC 15.00.020 APPLICATION FEES is hereby
amended by the addition of a new subparagraph (D) relating to
Fire Marshal to read as follows:
15.00.020 APPLICATION FEES
D. Fire Marshal - Open Burning Permit
A ten dollar ($10.00) annual application fee shall
be charged to any applicant for an open burning
permit requested to be issued under the provisions
of UFC 4.101(4) to defray the cost of inspection
or re -inspection of the site.
Section 2. This ordinance, being an administrative
action, is not subject to referendum and shall take effect five
(5) days after publication of the attached, approved summary.
