AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE OFFICIAL STREET MAP ADOPTED BY
SECTION 12.03.080 OF THE EDMONDS CITY CODE, BY
REVISING A PORTION OF THE ALIGNMENT OF A
PROJECTED PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY AND BY PROPOSING
A PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY APPROXIMATELY 60 FEET
IN WIDTH TO EXTEND 86TH PLACE WEST ACROSS MAIN
STREET TO CONNECT WITH THE EXISTING PROPOSED
RIGHT-OF-WAY IN SHELL VALLEY, PURSUANT TO
PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 426.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Planning Commission Resolution
No. 426, the City Council of the City of Edmonds, Washington,
called a public hearing regarding the following proposed public
right-of-way, and,
WHEREAS, after due consideration of existing and future
neighborhood and traffic conditions, and the general safety,
welfare and health of the public, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Official Street Map adopted by Section
12.03.080 of the Edmonds City Code, as amended, is hereby
further amended by projecting a public right-of-way, 60 feet in
width to extend 86th Place West across Main Street to the South
and Southwest to connect with the existing proposed public
right-of-way previously established in that area commonly known
as Shell Valley, all as depicted on Sheet No. 9, Section 19,
identified as Engineer's Drawing No. 1.559, identified as
Exhibit "A," attached hereto, and by this reference the same
is hereby adopted herein as if set forth in full.
Section 2. The City Engineer is hereby directed to
amend Reid, Middleton & Associates Drawing No. 1.559, Sheet 9,
Section 19, of the Official Street Map of the City of Edmonds
to depict the revision and establishment of the projected
right-of-way on said street map as described in Section 1
hereinabove.
