ORDINANCE NO. 2607
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
ADOPTING THE COMPREHENSIVE PARKS AND RECREATION
PLAN 1987 TO 1992 BY REFERENCE AS AN ELEMENT OF
THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
AND AMENDING SECTION 15.10.000(E) TO CONFORM TO
THE ADOPTION OF THIS PLAN
WHEREAS, after proper published notice, the Planning
Advisory Board held a public hearing to consider the
Comprehensive Parks & Recreation Plan 1987 to 1992 and, after all
members of the public wishing to speak had done so, the Planning
Advisory Board recommended adoption of said plan, and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on
March 17, 1987 at which time members of the public were given an
opportunity to speak, and
WHEREAS, one (1) accurate and complete copy of said
Plan is on file for use and examination by the public at the
office of the Edmonds City Clerk, and
WHEREAS, the responsible City official has declared
that the adoption of this Plan will not adversely affect the
environment in any significant way, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Pursuant to the recommendation of the
Planning Advisory Board, the City Council of the City of Edmonds
does hereby adopt as a part and functional subdivision of its
Comprehensive Plan the document entitled Comprehensive Parks and
Recreation Plan 1987 to 1992 prepared by the Parks and Recreation
Department, one (1) copy of which has been, prior to the passage
of this ordinance and is now, on file for use and examination by
the public at the office of the Edmonds City Clerk, and by this
reference, such Plan is hereby adopted, together with maps,
charts and diagrams contained therein, and incorporated herein as
if set forth in full.
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to
maintain at all times one (1) copy of the document Comprehensive
Parks and Recreation Plan for 1987 to 1992 on file in that office
for the use and examination by the public during regular business
hours.
Section 3. Section 15.10.000(E) of the Edmonds
Community Development Code is hereby amended consistent with the
adoption of the Comprehensive Parks and Recreation Plan 1987 to
1992 as follows:

Section 4. This ordinance, being an exercise of a
power specifically delegated to the City legislative body, is not
subject to referendum, and shall take effect five (5) days after
passage and publication of the attached summary which is hereby
approved.
