Ordinance 1708ORDINANCE NO. 1708 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, CREATING A CUMULATIVE RESERVE FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING MAINTENANCE AND IMPROVEMENTS TO THE MUNICIPAL EMERGENCY AID CAR AND TO PROVIDE TRAINING FOR PERSONNEL PERFORMING EMERGENCY AID SERVICES AND IN THE OPERATION OF SAID AID CARS WITHIN SAID CITY. WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds, Washington, operates a municipal emergency aid car, and WHEREAS, from time to time citizens and other persons benefited by the existence of such facility and the personnel who operate said facility, desire to and in fact do make donations of money in varying amounts to further the existence and continuation of such a service within said City, and WHEREAS, said donations are made for the purposes enunciated hereinabove, and the City Council finding that a special cumula- tive reserve fund should be created to receive said monies and to insure that they are expended for the purposes for which they are donated, now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1.75.010 Special Cumulative Reserve Fund, Emergency Aid Car. There is hereby created a special cumulative reserve fund, emergency aid car, to provide monies for the purposes of the maintenance, operation and addition of improve- ments to a municipal aid car or cars in said City and to further provide for the training of personnel performing emergency aid services and in the operation of said vehicle. Into such fund shall be paid all monies presently in the custody or control of the Edmonds Fire Fighters Association which have been received by them as donations by virtue of the services performed in connection -1- g /'�` with the operation of said emergency aid car, and further, all such other monies transferred to said fund by the City or dona- tions from whatever source paid to the City or any agency connected or affiliated with said City in any way, intended to be a donation arising out of the use of said emergency aid car or for the purpose of the continued maintenance, operation or improvement of such type of emergency vehicle service, together with the training of the personnel in connection with the use thereof, by the City of Edmonds. Expenditures from said fund shall be solely for the purposes enunciated hereinabove and for no other purposes. All monies in said fund shall be retained there from year to year and shall not be transferred to any other fund or expended for any other purpose.
