Ordinance 26250006.13004 06/30/87 WSS/naa WSS50072O ORDINANCE NO. 2625 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, ESTABLISHING THE MAYOR'S SALARY AT $46,000 FOR THE TERM 1988 THROUGH 1991, REPEALING ORDINANCE 2614 AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE WHEREAS, the Edmonds City Council finds that it is appropriate to set the Mayor's salary for his term of office at a fixed figure for the entire term, and WHEREAS, the Council finds that for the term of office beginning January 1, 1988, and ending December 31, 1991, a mayoral salary of $46,000 per annum is appropriate, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The salary of the Mayor of the City of Edmonds shall be $46,000 per annum for the period from January 1, 1988, through December 31, 1991. The salary shall continue at that level, thereafter, until amended by action of the City Council. The salary shall be payable in accordance with and at such times as the general payroll of the City. Section 2. Ordinance No. 2614 of the City of Edmonds is hereby repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall be effective January 1, 1988, such date being more than thirty (30) days after the date of passage hereof. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to publish the attached summary, which is hereby approved and adopted by this reference.
