AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING ORDINANCE OF SAID CITY, BY AMENDING THE FIRST PARAGRAPH OF SECTION 12.14.020 BY PERMITTING OFF-STREET PARKING FOR ONE AND TWO FAMILY DWELLINGS WITHIN SETBACK AREAS PURSUANT TO PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 439. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds, Washington, pursuant to Planning Commission Resolution No. 439, called a public hearing, and having during said hearing determined it to be in the best interests and the public health, safety and welfare to amend the Edmonds Zoning Ordinance as set forth below, now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The first paragraph of Section 12.14.020 of the Edmonds City Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "12.14.020 General Parking Requirements. Each off-street parking space shall have a net area of not less than two hundred square feet exclusive of driveways or aisles, and shall be of usable shape and condition; to determine on a gross area basis, three hundred square feet shall be allowed per vehicle."
