AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF IOOF CEMETARY FOR
INGRESS AND EGRESS, IN THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON.
WHEREAS, a petition to vacate a street was filed with
the City Council of the City of Edmonds, signed by the
owners of more than two-thirds of the property abutting upon
property dedicated for ingress nad egress located in the
City of Edmonds, being a portion of the IOOF Cemetary, more
particularly described below, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds did by
Resolution No..335 of said City duly adopted on the 15th day
of July, 1975, set the 5th day of August, 1975, at the hour
of 7:30 p.m. of said day, for the hearing and determination
on said vacation, and
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council that said
portion of the IOOF Cemetary should be vacated, and the said
City Council does hereby determine to vacate the same, as
hereinafter set forth,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the following described street in the
City of Edmonds, Snohomish County, Washington, being a
portion of the IOOF Cemetary, legally described as follows:
That portion of the access easement granted to the City
of Edmonds under Snohomish County Auditor's File No.
2314901, Volume 726, Page 518, located within the
following described property: That portion of the Plat
of the Annex to the IOOF Cemetary as recorded in Volume
5 of Plats, Page 34, records of Snohomish County,
Washington described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of said Plat, said
corner also being the Northwest corner of the Plat of
IOOF Cemetary; thence east 290.0 feet; thence north
parallel with the west line of said Annex Plat 295.0
feet to the north line thereof; thence west 290.0 feet;
thence south along the west line 295.0 feet to the
point of beginning.
be and the same is hereby vacated.
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to file
a certified copy of this Ordinance with the Snohomish
County Auditor.
