Ordinance 1793ORDINANCE NO. 1793 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON ADDING A NEW SECTION, 7.01.025 TO THE EDMONDS CITY CODE; ADOPTING NEW STANDARDS FOR PUBLIC RESIDENTIAL ACCESS STREET, PUBLIC RESIDENTIAL ACCESS STREET CUL-DE-SAC LENGTH UNDER 400 FEET, PUBLIC RESIDENTIAL ACCESS STREET ONE-WAY LOOP STREET, PUBLIC RESIDENTIAL ACCESS STREET EASE- MENT ROAD FOUR LOTS OR LESS, ACCESS EASEMENT ROAD FOR ONE LOT, EASEMENT TURN -AROUND, DRIVEWAY TURN -AROUND AND OPTIONS THERETO. Whereas, it is in the public health, safety and general welfare, and the City Council so finds, that there is a neces- sity and need to supplement existing street standards for public residential access streets and to provide for more flexibility in City standards for non -arterial roadways as to the extent of improvements and paving and right-of-way width to better take into account existing topographic and related terrain problems which are magnified by present street standards, now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: A new section, 7.01.025 is hereby added to the Edmonds City Code to read as follows: "7.01.025 Adoption of Standard Specifications for Public Access Streets. Those certain engineer's drawings dated October 10, 1975, drawings numbers 15 through 24, as amended, prepared by the City Engineer, three copies of which have been and now are on file in the office of the City Clerk for the use and examination of the public, are hereby adopted by reference as amended, as the standards for public residential access street and cul-de-sacs under 400 feet in length, one-way loop streets, easement roads for four lots or less, access easement road for one lot, easement turn- around, and driveway turn -around.
