ORDINANCE NO. 2875
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING EDMONDS CITY CODE CHAPTER
10.60 EDMONDS SISTER CITY COMMISSION IN ORDER
TO PROVIDE FOR CONTINUITY OF THE USE OF THE
TERM "COMMISSION" AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE
SAME SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds adopted
Ordinance No. 2715 adopting the Sister City Commission; and
WHEREAS, the body of said chapter contains references to
"Committee" rather than "Commission" in accordance with the prior
framework and structure of the Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to correct this
scrivener's error wherever the term "Committee" shall appear; NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 10.60 EDMONDS SISTER CITY COMMISSION
is hereby amended in order to correct a scrivener's error. The
City Clerk and City Attorney in the process of code codification
are hereby directed to replace the term "Committee" with the word
"Commission" wherever the same shall appear in Ordinance No. 2715,
as codified as Chapter 10.60 of the Edmonds City Code.
Section 2. This ordinance, being an administrative
action, is not subject to referendum and shall take effect five (5)

days after this ordinance or a summary thereof consisting of the
