AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTION 12.12.130 OF THE EDMONDS CITY
CODE TO CHANGE THE DEFINITION OF "LOT WIDTH" AND
"LOT DEPTH";, AND AMENDING SECTION 12.12.140 TO
AMEND THE DEFINITION OF MEAN DEPTH PURSUANT TO
PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 503.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds, Washington,
pursuant to Planning Commission Resolution No. 503, called a
public hearing, and having during said hearing determined it to
be in the best interests of the public health, safety and welfare
to amend the Edmonds Zoning Ordinance as set forth below, pursuant
to Planning Commission Resolution No. 503, and
WHEREAS, the amendments to the definition contained herein-
after will provide greater flexibility and ease of administration
of the Zoning Code, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The definitions of "LOT WIDTH" and "LOT DEPTH"
contained in Section 12.12.130 "L" Terms of the Edmonds City
Code are hereby amended to read as follows:
"LOT DEPTH. Lot depth means the depth of the lot measured
on a line approximately perpendicular to the fronting street
and midway between the sidelines of such lot.
"LOT WIDTH. Lot width means the horizontal distance between
the lot lines measured at right angles to the line comprising
the lot depth at a point midway between the front lot line
and the rear lot line. Excluded from the computation will
be that area of the lot used primarily for access."
Section 2. The definition of "MEAN DEPTH" contained in
Section 12.12.140 "M" Terms of the Edmonds City Code is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"MEAN DEPTH. The mean depth of a lot as used within this
code shall mean the same as the term "lot depth" as defined
in that code."

both dates inclusive, and that such newspaper was regularly distributed to its
subscribers during all of said period. That the full amount of the fee charged
for the foregoing publication is the sum of $ 9.00 , which amount has
