AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
ANNEXING FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES CERTAIN PORTIONS
OF 68TH AVENUE WEST BEING COUNTY ROAD RIGHT-OF-
WAY CONTIGUOUS TO THE EXISTING CITY LIMITS.
WHEREAS, the City Council by Resolution No. 366 passed on
the 27th day of July, 1976, set a public hearing for August 17,
1976, for the purpose of hearing arguments for and against the
annexation of portions of county road right-of-way described
hereinbelow, and
WHEREAS, the proceeding was initiated by a filing of a Notice
of Intention to proceed with annexation and Petition for Annexation
by the Snohomish County Board of County Commissioners, and
WHEREAS, the Snohomish County Boundary Review Board at its
regularly scheduled meeting of July 13, 1976, waived review of
said proposed annexation, as provided by law, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has found that it is in the public
interest for strictly municipal purposes, for maintenance of
utilities and entrance identification and for clarification of
jurisdictional responsibilities for maintenance, policing controls
and related matters that said property should be annexed to the
City of Edmonds, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
For strictly municipal purposes the following described parcel
of property located in Snohomish County, State of Washington be and

the same is hereby annexed to the City of Edmonds:
"All that portion of 68th Avenue West described as follows:
The east 10 feet of the west 30 feet of the southwest 1/4
of the southeast 1/4 of Section 5, Township 27 North, Range
4 East, W.M.
TOGETHER with the east 10 feet of the west 30 feet of the
south 20 feet of the northwest 1/4 of the southeast 1/4 of
said Section 5.
TOGETHER with that portion of the east 10 feet of the west
30 feet of the northwest 1/4 of the northeast 1/4 of Section
8, Township 27 North, Range 4 East, W.M., lying northerly of
the southerly margin of the North Meadowdale Road."
This Ordinance shall become effective five days after it is
published.
