ORDINANCE NO. 2898
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE PROVISIONS REGARDING
WATER UTILITY CHARGES AND FIXING A TIME WHEN
THE SAME SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, favorable interest rates make it appropriate for
the City to finance certain obligations through the use of bonds;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it appropriate to finance
certain large lump sum payments in order to spread the costs
reasonably throughout the rate base and lower the overall costs
attributable to the payment;
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 7.30.030 WATER RATES AND METER
INSTALLATION CHARGES, Paragraph A and B are hereby amended to read
as follows:
A. The monthly rates of water supplied through meters
shall be fixed at the following levels:

1/01/93 - $1.21
1/01/94 - $1.30
* Applies to billings on or after the effective date.
Section 2. This ordinance, being an exercise of a power
specifically delegated to the City legislative body, is not subject
to referendum, and shall take effect five (5) days after passage
and publication of the ordinance or a summary thereof consisting of
the title.
