ORDINANCE NO. 2974
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE PROVISIONS OF
ORDINANCE 2880 AND 2898 TO AMEND SCRIVENERS
ERRORS IN ORDER TO CONFIRM THAT WATER RATES
ARE CHARGED ON A BIMONTHLY BASIS AND FIXING A
TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, Ordinances 2898 and 2880 amending Section
7.30.030 Paragraph A and 7.30.030 reference monthly water rates,
and
WHEREAS, the City of Edmonds charges bi-monthly water
rates and the amendments to the sections therefore contain a
scriveners error, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. ECC Section 7.30.030 WATER RATES - METER
INSTALLATION CHARGES, Paragraph A is hereby amended to read as
follows:

A. The bi-monthly rates of water supplied
through meters shall be fixed at the
following levels:

INSTALLATION CHARGES
A. The bi-monthly rates for water supplied
through meters shall be fixed at the
following levels:
Section 3. These changes reflect the correction of a
scriveners errors. The failure of any customer to pay on a monthly
basis for the aforementioned monthly charges should not be
considered a forgiveness of debt but rather the ongoing
administrative policy of the City actually reflected in the
administration of its water rates.
Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance, being an
administrative action, is not subject to referendum and shall take
effect five (5) days after publication.
