Ordinance 1875ORDINANCE NO. 1875 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON BY DESIGNATING THE ZONING CLASSFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN SAID CITY AS OPEN SPACE (OS) PURSUANT TO PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 522. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds, Washington, pursuant to Planning Commission Resolution No. 522 called a public hearing and during said hearing determined that the property hereafter described does not have an official zoning classification, and WHEREAS, at all times said property has been designated on the Official Zoning Map as Public Use, and WHEREAS, the property owned by the Edmonds Public School District No. 15 is presently used for public school and playground purposes, and WHEREAS, the Council finds that the desires of the community, the future development and use of the property, and the public health, safety, morals and general welfare would be best served if the property were given a zoning classification which will most nearly approximate the current density and use, and WHEREAS, the Council finds that the Open Space (OS) classification will accomplish this purpose, and WHEREAS, the Council has determined that there will be no significant adverse environmental impacts, now, therefore, -1- THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Official Zoning Map of Edmonds, Washington be and the same is hereby amended by designating the zoning classification of the following described property as Open Space (OS), all situate in the City of Edmonds, Snohomish County, Washington and more particularly described on Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference as if set forth in full. Section 2. The City Planner is hereby directed to effectuate the necessary amendments to the Official Zoning Map of the City of Edmonds, Washington pursuant to this Ordinance.
