ORDINANCE NO. 2 9 81
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, CORRECTING A SCRIVENER'S ERROR
RELATING TO SECTION 17.40.030 OF THE EDMONDS
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CODE, INSTRUCTING THE
CITY CLERK TO CORRECT SUCH FAULTY REFERENCE IN
COURSE OF CODIFICATION OF THE ORDINANCE AND
FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL BECOME
EFFECTIVE.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2936 purported to amend Section 17.40.070 relating
to nonconforming lots, and
WHEREAS, the correct codified ordinance reference should have been Section
17.40.030 NONCONFORMING LOTS, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the public interest to correct such
faulty reference, amending to the extent necessary Ordinance 2936 and instructing the City Clerk
to correct such reference in the course of codification, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ordinance 2936 is hereby amended to delete and correct its reference
to Section 17.40.070 of the Edmonds Community Development Code and replace such reference
with Section 17.40.030, the correct numerical designation for the section containing the
nonconforming lot provisions. The City Council finds that this change is a scrivener's error
unrelated to the substance of the ordinance amendment or its intent.

Section 2. Duties of the City Clerk and City Attorney. The City Clerk and City
Attorney are hereby instructed in the course of codification to amend said reference from Section
17.40.070 to the correct section heading of 17.40.030.
Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance, being an administrative action, is not
subject to referendum and shall take effect five (5) days after publication of an approved
summary thereof consisting of the title.
