Ordinance 1889ORDINANCE NO. 1889 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE SCHEDULE ATTACHED TO SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1808 PASSED DECE14BER 23, 1975, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 1820 PASSED ON FEBRUARY 17, 1976, BY TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF SEVENTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE EDMONDS JUNIOR HIGH FUND AND BY TRANSFERRING FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE PARK IMPROVEMENT FUND. WHEREAS, at the time of passage of Ordinance No. 1808 there were certain expenditures in the operation of the Edmonds Junior High School Facility and improvement to the Seaview Park that the City Council could not reasonably anticipate at the time of the formulation of the 1976 budget, and WHEREAS, operation of the Junior High facilities is directly and substantially beneficial to the general welfare of the City and the citizens, and WHEREAS, development of the Seaview Park is necessary for the public health, safety and general welfare, and WHEREAS, the City Council having found specifically that there are adequate funds available in the General Fund to provide for the necessary expenditures and that if such expen- ditures are not funded a valuable community facility will have to be discontinued and a valuable community park site will be inadequately developed, and WHEREAS, the City Council for the foregoing reasons finds that there is an emergency, that the Ordinance has been in- troduced for not less than five days prior to its passage, now, -1- therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 1808 passed on December 23, 1975, and the schedule attached to said Ordinance and incorporated by reference in said Section 2, as the same may have been amended by Ordinance No. 1820 passed on February 17, 1976, is hereby amended to reflect the following changes: There shall be deducted from the General Fund No. 001, Department No. 12, the sum of Twenty-one Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($21,000.00). Said sum shall be deducted from the budget revenue and total revenue available and from total expenditures from said fund. There shall be added to the Edmonds Junior High Fund No. 105 the sum of Seventeen Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($17,000.00) to fund the un- anticipated expenditures to continue to maintain said facility. That there shall be added to the Park Improvement Fund No. 321 the sum of Four Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($4,000.00) to cover the unanticipated but necessary expen- ditures to accomplish a usable improvement of Seaview Park. Section 2. The Finance Director is hereby instructed and authorized to make the necessary line adjustments and entries to reflect the reappropriation of funds. Section 3. A copy of this amendatory Ordinance together with the amended summary schedule and budget shall be transmitted -2- by the City Clerk to the Division of Municipal Corporations of the State Auditor and the Association of Washington Cities.
