Ordinance 1921ORDINANCE NO. 1921 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, ADDING A NEW SECTION 5.80.070(5) TO THE EDMONDS CITY CODE RE- QUIRING SCUBA DIVERS WITHIN UNDERWATER PARKS TO WEAR A BUOYANCY COMPENSATOR. WHEREAS, the City -Council finds that it is in the interest of the public health, safety and welfare for users of the underwater parks to be required to wear a buoyancy compensator in order to lessen the possibility of accidental drownings by users of the underwater parks, now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 5.80.070 of the Edmonds City Code is hereby amended by adding a new subsection to read as fol- lows: "5.80.070 (5) Scuba diving without wearing a buoy- ancy compensator." Section 2. The Parks and Recreation Director is hereby directed to post these regulations at at least one location on the beach adjacent to said parks. APPROVED: Ate?-�.. MAYOR, H. H.
