ORDINANCE NO. 2178
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASH-
INGTON, AMENDING SECTION 3.24.040 OF THE
EDMONDS CITY CODE TO SPECIFY THE MANNER OF
SERVICE OF NOTICES TO ABATE NOXIOUS WEEDS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 3.24.040 of the Edmonds City Code
is hereby amended and renumbered as 6.30.030 to read as
follows:
6.30.030 SERVICE OF NOTICE
Notices shall be in writing and be served by the police
upon the owner, lessee, occupant, agent or other per-
sons in charge of such property on which noxious weeds,
thistles or nettles are found, in person or by leaving
the same with a person of suitable age and discretion
residing at the owner's usual place of abode. If the
person is a nonresident the police shall mail a copy of
the notice to his last known address, or if his address
be unknown, by posting a copy of the notice on the
property.
Section 2. This ordinance will be in full force and
effect five (5) days after passage and publication by post-
ing as provided by law.
