ORDINANCE NO. 2218
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASH-
INGTON, VACATING CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE
CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON DEDICATED FOR
STREET PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 474 the City
Council of the City of Edmonds, Washington, held a public
hearing on October 14, 1980, to consider the proposed vaca-
tion of certain property in the City of Edmonds, Washington,
dedicated for street purposes and located on 8th Avenue be-
tween Aloha and Daley, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the findings of the City's
responsible official, the City Council finds that there will
be no significant adverse environmental impacts, and
WHEREAS, at the conclusion of said public hearing
the City Council found that said property dedicated for
street purposes should be vacated upon payment by certain
abutting owners of the appraised value of the area to be
vacated, and that certain owners who had previously dedicated
property should not have to make payment, in accordance with
established City policy, and
WHEREAS, there has been tendered to the City by or
on behalf of the owners of parcels C,D, and Fl, the appraised
values of said parcels, in cash or in real property equivalent.
WHEREAS, the City Council does hereby determine to
vacate the property as hereinafter set forth, now, therefore,

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following parcels of property, pre-
viously dedicated for street purposes are hereby vacated; pro-
vided, however, that the City of Edmonds does hereby retain
the right to exercise and grant easement for the construction,
repair and maintenance of public utilities and services over
the land hereby vacated. Said parcels are located in the City
of Edmonds, Snohomish County, Washington, and further de-
scribed as set forth on Exhibits "A" and "B", attached hereto
and incorporated in full by this reference. Parcels E and
F2 are expressly excluded from this vacation.
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to file
a certified copy of this Ordinance with the Snohomish County
Auditor and post the same after receipt of the appraised values
in cash, or property exchange, as approved by the Council.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect five (5) days after passage and publication by
posting as provided by law.
