ORDINANCE NO. 2230
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASH-
INGTON, AMENDING SECTION 8.64.065(5) TO ESTAB-
LISH FOUR-HOUR PARKING ON BOTH SIDES OF
75TH PLACE WEST, NORTH OF NORTH MEADOWDALE
ROAD, AND PROHIBITING PARKING ON THAT STREET
FROM 10 P.M. TO 8 A.M.
WHEREAS, the portion of 75th Place West which is north
of North Meadowdale Road is a single family residential neigh-
borhood immediately adjacent to a county park, and
WHEREAS, this portion of 75th Place West has experi-
enced heavy use by individuals who cruise their vehicles con-
stantly along the street, greatly contributing to the noise,
traffic hazards, litter and pollution associated with this use
and
WHEREAS, this use infringes upon the rights of others
to park their vehicles along this portion of 75th West, and
WHEREAS, this same use reduces the enjoyment of the
scenic amenities for others by creating loud noise, traffic
hazards and litter, and
WHEREAS, the following parking restrictions will reduce
the amount of traffic, thereby decreasing the noise, potential
for traffic hazards, litter, and air pollution so that this area
adjacent to the county park may be enjoyed by all persons, now
therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Section 8. 64.065(5) is hereby amended to
establish a four-hour parking limit on both sides of a portion of
75th Place West, north of North Meadowdale Road and to prohibit
parking between the hours of 10 p.m. and 8 p.m., and to read as
follows:
"5. Both sides of the portion Four-hour parking, 8 a.m.
of 75th Place West, north to 10 p.m. No parking from
of North Meadowdale Road 10 p.m. to 8 a.m."
Section 2. The Public Works Director is hereby
directed to post signs consistent with this Ordinance.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect five (5) days after passage and publication by posting as
provided by law.
