ORDINANCE NO. 2244
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASH-
INGTON, AMENDING SECTION 8.64.080 OF THE
EDMONDS CITY CODE TO MODIFY THE LOAD LIMIT
RESTRICTIONS FOR VEHICLES USING A PORTION
OF 76TH AVENUE WEST TO PERMIT THE USE OF
THAT STREET BY COMMUNITY TRANSIT BUSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds,
Washington finds that it is in the best interests of the City
to modify the load limit restrictions on 76th Avenue West from
State Route 99 to 244th Street S.W. in order to allow Community
Transit buses to use that street while retaining the load limit
restrictions for all other commercial vehicles, now therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 8.64.080 of the Edmonds City Code
is hereby amended ib Subsection (1) only to read as follows:
"8.64.080 SCHEDULE VIII - COMMERCIAL VEHICLES PROHIBITED FROM
USING CERTAIN STREETS
When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall
operate a commercial vehicle except as provided under Section
8.56.020, upon any of the following streets or parts of
streets:

1. 76th Avenue West, from PSH
No. 1 (U.S. 99) to 244th S.W.
LICENSED GROSS
WEIGHT LIMIT
10,000 pounds; except
Community transit buses
which are exempt from
this limit
2. Olympic View Drive from
Puget Drive to 76th West
10,000 pounds
3. SR 524 from the east city
limits to Dayton Street being
196th S.W. from the east city
limits to Puget Drive to 9th
Avenue North to Casper to
3rd Avenue to Dayton Street 10,000 pounds"
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect five (5) days after passage and publication by posting
as provided by law.
