ORDINANCE NO. 2262
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASH-
INGTON, AMENDING SECTION 8.64.030(14) OF
THE EDMONDS CITY CODE REGARDING THE
PROHIBITION OF PARKING ALONG CERTAIN
SECTIONS OF 76TH AVENUE WEST.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that on -street
parking on 76th Avenue West between 216th Street S.W. and
218th Street S.W. is potentially hazardous to vehicles
entering and turning off of that street, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the City's
interest in public safety and welfare would be best served if
on -street parking were prohibited on 76th Avenue West between
the above mentioned cross streets, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 8.64.030(14) is hereby amended
to read as follows:
14. 76th Avenue West on both sides from 208th
Street S.W. to 218th Street S.W.; and on both
sides from one hundred fifty feet north of
220th Street S.W. to one hundred fifty feet
south of 220th Street S.W.; and on both sides
from one hundred fifty feet north of 224th
Street S.W. to 224th Street S.W.
Section 2. The Traffic Engineer is hereby autho-
rized and instructed to have signs erected and to otherwise
notify the public of the parking restrictions imposed by this
ordinance.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect five (5) days after passage and publication by
posting as provided by law.
