ORDINANCE NO. 2273
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASH-
INGTON, AMENDING THE EDMONDS COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT CODE SECTION 15.00.020(A) AND
(B) PROVIDING FOR A CHANGE IN FEES CHARGED
FOR THE REVIEW OF VARIOUS LAND USE APPLI-
CATIONS BY THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT AND THE
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in
the best interests of fiscal responsibility in municipal
government and the general welfare of the public if the fees
charged for the processing of certain land use applications
be as consistent with the actual costs for such processing as
is possible, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 15.00.020(A) and (B) are hereby
amended to adjust the fees charged for various permits as
follows:
A. Planning Department
1. Comprehensive Plan Change: $110
2. Conditional Use Permit: $65 if reviewed by the
Hearing Examiner or $40 if reviewed by the staff as
provided by this Code.
3. Design Review: $110 for projects over 4000 square
feet or 4 units, whichever first occurs
4. Home Occupations: $40
5. Housing For the Elderly: $30
6. Joint Use of Parking: $30
7. In Lieu of Parking (Review Fee Only): $30
8. Planned Residential Development:
a. Preliminary: $220 plus $20/acre or fraction
thereof
b. Final: $220
9. Rezone: $165
10. Contract Rezone: $220
11. Setback Adjustment: $35
12. Sign Permit: $15, plus $1 per square foot of sign
area
13. Shoreline Permit: $110
14. Street Map Change: $110
15. Subdivisions:
a. Formal Subdivision:
(1) Preliminary: $110 plus $20 per lot
(2) Final Plat Check: Same amount as
Preliminary
b. Short Subdivision: $20 per lot
C. Lot Line Adjustment: $20 per lot
16. Variance: $45
17. Environmental Checklist: $40; none if required
only by Section
20.15.040
18. Environmental Impact Statement: Full cost of city
review or
preparation

19. Street Vacation: $85 plus cost of appraisal (if
compensation for value of prop-
erty vacated is required,
