ORDINANCE NO. 2278
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASH-
INGTON, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL STREET MAP
ADOPTED BY SECTION 18.50.010 OF THE EDMONDS
CITY CODE BY ADDING A CUL-DE-SAC NORTH AND
EAST OF THE INTERSECTION OF 8TH AVENUE
NORTH AND DRIFTWOOD LANE.
WHEREAS, the Edmonds Hearing Examiner has held a
public hearing regarding an amendment to the Offical Street
Map and has forwarded his findings, conclusions and recom-
mendations to the City Council, and
WHEREAS, The City Council held a public hearing on
February 2, 1982 at which time all members of the public who
wished to speak were given such an opportunity, and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after giving due consid-
eration to the recommendation of the Hearing Examiner, the
comments made by the interested parties in this matter, and
the existing neighborhood and traffic conditions, finds the
proposed amendment to the Official Street Map to be in the
best interests of the public health, safety and general
welfare, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the following
amendment will have no significant adverse environmental
impacts, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Official Street Map, adopted by
Section 18.50.010 of the Edmonds City Code, as amended, is
hereby further amended to add a cul-de-sac from a point on
Driftwood Lane north of the intersection of Driftwood Lane
and 8th Avenue North, extending north and then approximately
west, as more particularly described on Exhibits A and B,
attached hereto and incorporated in full herein by this
reference.
Section 2. The City Engineer is hereby authorized
and directed to amend the Official Street Map to depict the
revisions as set forth in Section 1 above.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect five (5) days after passage and publication by
posting as provided by law.
