ORDINANCE NO. 2281
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASH-
INGTON, AMENDING SECTION 10.05.010A OF THE
EDMONDS CITY CODE DELETING THE REQUIREMENT
THAT A MEMBER OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
SIT AS AN EX OFFICIO MEMBER OF THE ARCHI-
TECTURAL DESIGN BOARD.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Section
10.05.010A of the City Code currently requires that a member
of the Planning Commission be selected and sit as an ex
officio member of the Architectural Design Board, and, fur-
ther, that the Planning Commission has been superceded and
replaced by the Planning Advisory Board, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is no longer
necessary or in the best interests of the City to provide for
an ex officio member from the City's planning body to serve
on the Architectural Design Board, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 10.05.010A is hereby amended
deleting the last section of subsection A to read as follows:
A. There is created an architectural design board
consisting of seven members. The membership
of said board shall be composed of one archi-
tect and/or building designer, one landscaper
and/or landscape architect, one builder or
developer, one educated or having practical
experience in planning, one person trained or
having practical experience in any of the
aforementioned categories or any related de-
sign science and two lay persons. The lay
members shall reside within the city limits of
the City of Edmonds.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect five (5) days after passage and publication by
posting as provided by law.
