Ordinance 2286MAE/lc 4/1/82 i ORDINANCE NO. 2286 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASH- INGTON, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2234 PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON SEPTEMBER 14, 1981; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2272, PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON FEBRUARY 9, 1982; PROVIDING FOR PAY ADJUSTMENTS FOR DEPARTMENT HEADS, OTHER EXEMPT PERSONNEL AND CERTAIN NON- EXEMPT, NONREPRESENTED PERSONNEL; SPECIFY- ING THE PAYMENT OF PREMIUMS FOR EMPLOYEE MEDICAL, DENTAL AND VISION PLANS; AND ESTABLISHING EFFECTIVE DATES. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The salaries paid department heads, other exempt personnel and those nonexempt personnel who are unrepresented by any collective bargaining unit may be increased at the discretion of the Mayor in amounts not to exceed percentages for each employee specified as follows: A. An increase up to four percent of such personnel's current salary to be effective from April 1, 1982; and B. An increase of up to two percent of such personnel's post April 1, 1982 salary to be effective July 1, 1982. Section 2. Section 2 and Exhibit "A" of Ordinance No. 2234, passed by the City Council on September 14, 1981, as amended by Ordinance No. 2272 passed on February 9, 1982 shall be amended to the extent necessary to effectuate the discretionary salary increases authorized by Section 1 of this ordinance and as more specifically set forth in Exhibit A of this ordinance attached hereto and incorporated herein as if set forth in full. Section 3. The City shall pay 80% of the premium due on and after April 1, 1982, for the medical, dental and vision insurance covering a department head, other exempt employee, or a nonexempt employee who is unrepresented. Such employee shall be responsible for the remaining 20% of such premium. Section 4. Other than as set forth herein, the provisions of Ordinance No. 2234 and Ordinance No. 2272 shall remain in full force and effect. Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after passage and posting by publi- cation as provided by law. APPROVED: MAYOR, H. H.
