ORDINANCE NO. 2294
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASH-
INGTON, AMENDING SECTION 5.19.010B OF THE
EDMONDS CITY CODE TO PROVIDE A DEFININTION
OF "DELINQUENT CHILD."
WHEREAS, the City Code currently defines "delinquent
child" in Section 5.19.O10B by reference to Title 13 of the
RCW which has been repealed subsequent to the City's adoption
of that definition, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be
appropriate in the interest of clarity to provide a defini-
tion of "delinquent child" without reference to state
statute, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 5.19.O10B of the Edmonds City
Code is hereby amended to provide a definition for "delin-
quent child" as follows:
B. "Delinquent child" means any minor whose
conduct would constitute a violation of any
federal or state statute, city ordinance or
court order.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect five (5) days after passage and publication by
posting as provided by law.
