ORDINANCE NO. 2297
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASH-
INGTON, AMENDING SECTION 8.64.065(2) OF THE
EDMONDS CITY CODE ESTABLISHING PARKING
REGULATIONS ON THE WEST SIDE OF SUNSET
AVENUE FROM BELL TO CASPERS.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the
best interest of the public health, safety and general wel-
fare to establish a four hour parking limit on the west side
of Sunset Avenue from Bell to Caspers from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00
p.m. and no parking from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., and
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that it is
necessary from time to time to modify the parking restric-
tions along this portion of Sunset Avenue due to different
levels of usage during different times of the year and other
factors, and that such adjustments should not require passage
of a separate ordinance, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 8.64.065(2) of the Edmonds City
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
2. West side of Sunset
Avenue from Bell to
Caspers
Four hour parking eight
a.m. to ten p.m. No
parking from ten p.m. to
eight a.m.; provided,
however, the City Coun-
cil may adjust the four
hour parking time and
the no parking time set
forth in this subsection
by appropriate motion
and upon erection of
appropriate signs.
Section 2. The traffic engineer is hereby autho-
rized and instructed to have signs erected and to otherwise
notify the public of the parking restrictions imposed by this
ordinance as well as any modifications made pursuant hereto.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect five (5) days after passage and publication by
posting as provided by law.
