ORDINANCE NO. 2299
AN.ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASH-
INGTON, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2296, PASSED
BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON MAY 11, 1982 BY AMEND-
ING SECTION 4 OF SAID ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH
AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JULY 1, 1982.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edmonds,
Washington, passed Ordinance No. 2296 on May 11, 1982 which
imposed an additional one-half of one cent sales and use tax
as authorized by Chapter 49 of the Laws of Washington 1982,
and
WHEREAS, said ordinance did not specify an effective
date, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 4 of Ordinance No. 2296, passed
by the City Council on May 11, 1982 is hereby amended to read
as follows:
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full
force and effect on and after July 1, 1982,
subject to voter approval or rejection as
provided in Section 3 of this ordinance.
Section 2. The remaining portions of Ordinance
No. 2296 shall not be effected.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect five days after passage and publication by posting
as provided by law.
