ORDINANCE NO. 2302
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASH-
INGTON, AMENDING SECTION 15.00.020(B)(5) OF
THE EDMONDS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CODE PRO-
VIDING FOR GRADING PERMIT FEES AS SET FORTH
IN THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE AND ADDING A
NEW SUBSECTION 6 TO SECTION 15.00.020(B) OF
THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CODE ESTABLISHING
A FEE FOR CHECKING PLANS AS SET FORTH IN THE
UNIFORM BUILDING CODE.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the
best interests of the City of Edmonds to establish fees to
defray the cost of processing grading permits and inspecting
plans as required by the Uniform Building Code, 1979 Edition,
as adopted by this Code, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds the fees set forth
in said Uniform Building Code for such permits and inspec-
tions are reasonable for such purpose, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 15.00.020(B)(5) of the Edmonds
Community Development Code is hereby amended to read as
follows:
5. Grading Permit: Fee as set forth in Table
No. 70-B of the 1979 edition of the Uniform
Building Code as adopted by this Code.
Section 2. Section 15.00.020(B) is hereby amended
by adding a new Subsection 6 to read as follows:
6. Plan - Checking: Fee as set forth in Table
No. 70-A of the 1979 edition of the Uniform
Building Code as adopted by this Code.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect five (5) days after passage and publication by
posting as provided by law.
