ORDINANCE NO. 2303
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASH-
INGTON, ABOLISHING THE OFFICE OF MAYOR'S
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT; REPEALING SEC-
TIONS 2.01.020 THROUGH 2.01.060 OF THE
EDMONDS CITY CODE AND ENACTING A NEW SEC-
TION 2.01.020 IN THE EDMONDS CITY CODE
PROVIDING THAT REFERENCES TO MAYOR'S ADMIN-
ISTRATIVE ASSISTANT SHALL REFER TO THE
MAYOR OR DESIGNEE.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the
best interests of efficient and effecive city government to
elminate the office of Mayor's Administrative Assistant, now,
therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Sections 2.01.020 through 2.01.060 of
the Edmonds City Code are hereby repealed, effective on and
after January 1, 1984. A new Section 2.01.020 is hereby
added to the Edmonds City Code, to be effective on and after
January 1, 1984, and to read as follows:
2.01.020 REFERENCES TO MAYOR'S ADMINISTRATIVE

On and after January 1, 1984, the office of
Mayor's Administrative Assistant is hereby abol-
ished. All references in the Edmonds City Code to
the Mayor's Administrative Assistant shall refer
to the Mayor or designee.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be effective after
passage and publication by posting on January 1, 1984.
