ORDINANCE NO. 2309
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASH-
INGTON, ADDING A NEW SECTION 2.10.055 TO THE
EDMONDS CITY CODE CREATING THE POSITION OF
PERSONNEL DIRECTOR; PRESCRIBING DUTIES; SETTING
A SALARY RANGE AND REPEALING SECTION
2.10.026(C).
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of
Edmonds to provide for a Personnel Director to plan, direct
and coordinate the personnel programs of the City of Edmonds,
now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. A new Section 2.10.055 is hereby added
to the Edmonds City Code to read as follows:
2.10.055 Personnel Director - Duties
A. There is hereby created the office of Personnel
Director which shall be filled by appointment of
the Mayor, subject to confirmation by the City
Council, and who shall serve at the pleasure of
the Mayor.
B. The Personnel Director shall plan, supervise and
coordinate all personnel programs and personnel
matters of the City, in addition to such other
duties as may be assigned by the Mayor.
Section 2. The salary for the position of Personnel
Director shall be in the classification range of E-8 which is
currently set at $2,275.00 to $2,781.00.
Section 3. Section 2.10.026(C) of the City Code
relating to the personnel duties of the Director of
Administrative Services is hereby repealed and subsection (D)
of that section shall be relettered accordingly.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect five (5) days after passage and publication by
posting as provided by law.
