ORDINANCE NO. 2326
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING SECTIONS 5.17.020 AND
5.17.023 OF THE EDMONDS CITY CODE RELATING
TO THE CRIMES OF THEFT.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 5.17.020 is hereby amended to
clarify the title of this crime to read as follows:
5.17.020 PETTY THEFT A
A person is in violation of this section if that
person commits theft of:
A. Property or services which exceed(s) $50 in
value; or
B. Gasoline from any vehicle.
Section 2. Section 5.17.023 of the Edmonds City Code
is hereby amended to clarify the title of this crime of theft
to read as follows:
5.17.023 PETTY THEFT B
A person is in violation of this section if that
person commits theft of property or services valued
at $50 or less.
Section 3. If any section, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance should be held to be invalid or
unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such
invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the
validity or constitutionality of any other section, sentence,
clause or phrase of this ordinance.

Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect five (5) days after passage and publication by posting
as provided by law.
