Ordinance 2335ORDINANCE NO. 2335 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASH- INGTON, SETTING THE SALARIES FOR THE MAYOR, DEPARTMENT HEADS AND DEPARTMENTAL ASSIS- TANTS AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 2234, ORDINANCE NO. 2272, ORDINANCE NO. 2286, ORDINANCE NO. 2289, ORDINANCE NO. 2310, ORDINANCE NO. 2313, ORDINANCE NO. 2329, AND ALL OTHER INCONSISTENT ORDINANCES; AND ES- TABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, after review and discussion, the Council has determined to set the salary for the Mayor, and the following salary ranges for department heads and assistants, now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Mayor shall receive a salary of $1,410.00 per month. On and after January 1, 1983 the mayor's salary shall be $1,523.00 per month. Section 2. The following department heads, departmental assistants and other exempt classification positions as defined and designated in the City of Edmonds Salary Administration Manual shall receive salaries within the ranges as set forth on Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference as if set forth in full. Section 3. The salary range for nonexempt, nonrepresented personnel shall be as set forth on Exhibit B, -1- attached hereto and incorporated by this reference as if set forth in full. Section 4. The salaries paid department heads, other exempt personnel and those nonexempt personnel who are unrepresented by any collective bargaining unit may be adjusted at the recommendation of the Mayor with approval by the Council, within the salary ranges specified for the particular grade established for the position. Section 5. The City shall pay 80 percent of the premiums due on and after April 1, 1982, for medical, dental and vision insurance covering a department head, other exempt employee, or a nonexempt employee who is unrepresented. Such employee shall be responsible for the remaining 20 percent of such premium. Section 6. Ordinance No. 2234, Ordinance No. 2272, Ordinance No. 2286, Ordinance No. 2289, Ordinance No. 2310, Ordinance No. 2313, and Ordinance No. 2329 and all other inconsistent ordinances are hereby repealed. Section 7. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days after passage and publication by posting as provided by law. The salary adjustments shall be effective on and after December 1, 1982, except as otherwise specifically provided herein. APPROVED: MAYOR, H. H.
