AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASH-
INGTON, AMENDING SECTION 5.28.550 OF THE
EDMONDS CITY CODE TO INCREASE THE PERMIT FEE
FOR SALE OF FIREWORKS FROM $10.00 TO $30.00.
WHEREAS, the current fee for fireworks permits in the
City has not been changed since 1964, and
WHEREAS, the costs and expenses incurred by the City
in connection with the issuance of the permits and regulation
of the permittees have increased considerably, now,
therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 5.28.550 of the Edmonds City Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
5.28.550 PERMIT FEES
An application for a permit pursuant to this chapter shall be
accompanied by a permit fee of $30.00 for the year for which
the permit is issued.
section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect five (5) days after passage and publication by posting
as provided by law.
