ORDINANCE NO. 2371
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE OFFICIAL STREET MAP ADOPTED BY
SECTION 18.50.010 OF THE EDMONDS CITY CODE BY
DELETING A PROPOSED STREET IN THE VICINITY OF
78TIl AVENUE WEST AND 234TH STREET S.W. AND BY
ADDING A PROPOSED STREET SOUTHERLY FROM THE
PRESENT END OF 231ST STREET S.W., CITY FILE
DESIGNATION ST-7-82.
WHEREAS, the Edmonds Hearing Examiner, after proper
notice was given, held a public hearing on February 3, 1983,
regarding an amendment to the Official Street Map to delete a
proposed street in the vicinity of 78th Avenue West and 234th
Street S.W. and to add a proposed street southerly from the
present end of 231st Street S.W. and has forwarded his findings
and recommendations to the City Council, and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after due consideration of
existing neighborhood and traffic conditions, finds the proposed
amendment to the Official Street Map to be in the best interests
of the public health, safety and general welfare, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the following
amendment will have no significant adverse impacts on the quality
of the environment, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Official Street Map, adopted by Section
18.50.010 of the Edmonds Community Development Code, as amended,
is hereby further amended by deleting the proposed street in the
vicinity of 78th Avenue West and 234th Street S.W. as set forth
on Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated in full by this
reference.
Section 2. The Official Street Map, adopted by Section
18.50.010 of the Edmonds Community Development Code, as amended,
is hereby further amended to add a new proposed street with a
thirty foot right-of-way and a fifty foot cul-de-sac right-of-way
extending in a southerly direction from the present western end
of 231st Street S.W. immediately west of 76th Avenue West as
generally set forth on Exhibit A, attached hereto and
incorporated in full by this reference.
Section 3. The City Engineer is hereby authorized and
directed to amend the Official Street Map to depict the revisions
as set forth in Section 1 and 2 above.
section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect five (5) days after passage and publication by posting as
provided by law.
