ORDINANCE NO. 2386
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHING -
TON, AMENDING SECTION 8.64.080 THEREBY IMPOSING
A VEHICLE LOAD LIMIT ON A CERTAIN PORTION OF
NINTH AVENUE NORTH.
WHEREAS, a portion of Ninth Avenue North that is a
part of State Route 524 currently is subject to a vehicle
load limit restriction of 10,000 pounds maximum licensed
gross weight limit, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such vehicle
load limit should be extended from such portion of Ninth
Avenue North at Casper Street south to Main Street, now,
therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 8.64.080 of the Edmonds City Code
is hereby amended by adding a new subsection 6 to read as
follows:
8.64.080 SCHEDULE VIII - CERTAIN VEHICLES PROHIBITED FROM
USING CERTAIN STREETS
When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall
operate a vehicle except as provided under Section 8.56.020,
upon any of the following streets or parts of streets:

1. 76th Avenue West, from PSH
No. 1 (U.S. 99) to 244th S.W.
LICENSED GROSS
WEIGHT LIMIT
10,000 pounds; except
community transit buses
which are exempt from
this limit
2. Olympic View Drive from
Puget Drive to 76th West 10,000 pounds
3. SR 524 from the east city
limits to Dayton Street being
196th S.W. from the east city
limits to Puget Drive to 9th
Avenue North to Casper to
3rd Avenue to Dayton Street 10,000 pounds
4. Sunset Avenue, Main to
Casper Streets 10,000 pounds
5. Pine Street, 3rd Avenue
South to 5th Avenue South 10,000 pounds
6. 9th Avenue North, from
Main Street to Casper Street 10,000 pounds
Section 2. The City Engineer is hereby directed to
erect signs at appropriate locations on 9th Avenue North
between Main Street and Casper Street giving notice of the
10,000 pound licensed gross weight limit required by this
ordinance.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect five (5) days after passage and publication by posting
as provided by law.
