ORDINANCE NO. 2403
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHING -
TON, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2362, PASSED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL ON APRIL 26, 1983, AND ORDINANCE
NO. 2343, PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON
JANUARY 4, 1983 TO PROVIDE FOR A $6.00 HOURLY
RATE FOR THE CIVIC CENTER FIELD AND GRANDSTAND
PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City Council has previously set the
compensation for public service project workers at $4.00 an
hour pursuant to Ordinance No. 2362, passed by the City
Council on April 26, 1983, and
WHEREAS, the Council has approved a temporary public
service project for reroofing of the Civic Center field and
grandstand, and
WHEREAS, this project involves additional hazards and
safety considerations not generally applicable to other
public service project jobs, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 3B of Ordinance No. 2343, as
amended by Ordinance No. 2362 is hereby further amended to
read as follows:
B. Compensation shall be at the rate of $4.00 per
hour; provided, however, that compensation
shall be at the rate of $6.00 for the Civic
Center Field and Grandstand project. Persons
employed shall not be eligible for MEBT, PERS,
medical, dental, or vision benefits available
to fulltime employees, and shall not be enti-
tled to vacation, sick leave pay or accrual
thereof.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect five (5) days after passage and publication by posting
as provided by law.
